Sean Astin was robbed, I tell you, ROBBED!

Oscar nominees were announced this morning. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that LOTR didn't get any acting nominations. The cast is so big, there probably were a lot of split decisions. I was, however, shocked as hell that Johnny Depp was nominated as Best Actor for Pirates of the Caribbean. He won't win, of course, but how cool is that?

Also shocking: this year I've already seen three of the five Best Picture nominees: Seabiscuit, Master and Commander, and Return of the King. Not really interested in seeing Mystic River, but I would like to see Lost in Translation.
