Randomness

You'd think it'd be easy to find a sugar pumpkin (a.k.a. a pie pumpkin) during the week before Thanksgiving. You'd think that, but you'd be wrong. I'm planning to make my first pumpkin pie from scratch tomorrow, but this is apparently hinging on whether or not I can find a pumpkin today. I've never made a pie of any sort before, so this should be interesting. (No, I'm not making a crust from scratch. I'm not masochistic.)

In other news, I'm about two-thirds of the way through my first read-through of my novel. I don't hate it. It needs, however, a hell of a lot of work to make a working second draft.

In other other news, overheard at gaming on Sunday (which was Werewolf, after an extended hiatus):

"What's the worst she could do?"
"I'm thinking of a word. It starts with 'e' and ends with 'visceration'."
