Last bit of schoolwork, yay!
I have to say, my paper's going pretty darn well. I mean, considering that I lazed about all day rather than work on it. Over half done in about two hours of writing, that's not bad at all. I'll probably even get to bed at a decent hour tonight.
This has, apparently, been the semester of feminism for yours truly. Seems like every major paper I've written has had feminism as its focus in some way--at least, the major papers I've had a choice of topics on. This paper? How John Gay mocks the role of women in the 18th century in The Beggar's Opera. It's true. He spends the whole play calling his female characters sluts and whores and hussies (which, admittedly, they all are), but in the end he's making a pretty strong statement criticizing how upper class women are viewed as well.
Yeah, I know. You don't care. That's where my brain is right now, though. Back to work!
