A Tale of Two Memes

Five things that 2002 taught me:
*There is a God, and he's gotta be looking out for me. (Not entirely facetious on this one.)
*I can, eventually, survive without a full-time job.
*I am not too old to develop crushes.
*I am good enough to get published outside of RPGs.
*I am not cut out for corporate America.

Five personally significant events of 2002:
*I started back to college full-time after going part time for a year and a half.
*I lost one job, gained another one, in many ways better, despite being part-time.
*Two words: Pooka. Rumpus.
*I sold my first short story.
*I finished my first novel, started outlining a second, started writing a third.

Five things I want to do in 2003:
*Get a working, submittable draft of one of my novels, damn it.
*Publish more.
*Settle into this work/school routine.
*Do some real decorating at home.
*Start exercising on a regular basis.

Five things I don't want to do in 2003:
*Be unemployed again.
*Deal with another stupid gen ed requirement (although I'm gonna have to).
*Repeat the stupid drama of years past.
*Deal with reality TV.
*Wait until December for "Return of the King".

Five people who I'd like to know better in 2003:
*Mer
*Julie
*John
*My mom
*Myself
