I'm alive, I think...

Alive, but still largely cut off from the world. The move went very well, the house is absolutely wonderful, aside from currently having no air conditioner and washer/dryer. I've hardly unpacked a single thing of mine, although my mom and my aunt got most of the rest of the house unpacked while I was at work yesterday--which is where I am right now, which is why nothing is unpacked. That, and the hotness that is our house. Hopefully when things cool off tomorrow I'll feel more like unpacking the really vital things like, oh, my computer.

The cats are getting braver every day--Pooka already acts like she owns the place, while Rumpus only comes out at night and flees back under my bed with the slightest provocation (if someone looks at him, for example, or if he thinks someone looked at him).

As far as the rest goes, Mom is doing very well. She has some more tests this week that will give us the really detailed information about where the cancer is and if it's spread at all. Understandably, we'll be on pins and needles until we get the results on Friday.

I can't wait for you folks that are local to come see the house. Hopefully soon. The outside isn't much to see right now, just a bunch of mud and concrete, but once we get sod and our deck, watch out. :) Oh, if I forgot to give you my new address and phone number and you want it, email me and let me know.
