Food update

What with all the hair pictures and writing blathering and stuff today, of course, I had to share a picture of my OTHER other major project.

It's a little misshapen because one of the ends of my braid came unwrapped during rising, and I think I used a little too much marjoram, but--holy crap! It's BREAD! And very very tasty bread, at that. I think cookie-baking has been replaced as a favorite cooking pasttime. It appeals to the science geek in my head (chemical reactions! Cool!) as well as the craftsy, creative part of my brain.

The recipe, for the curious, is here. I doubled the amount of the herbs, but I think next time I'll just go 1.5 times as much.

Jesus Christ. I was productive today. Colored my hair, outlined four chapters, got my hair cut, and baked bread. Was there speed in my cereal?

Because asked...

Pictures of the haircut. They don't fully capture the cuteness, but the color shows well. And also, new icon!

New bangs always look funny. They'll look better in a week.

Girly!

Thanks to a haircut, I once again have Flippy Hair (tm). This time, with bangs. And also, I colored it auburn this morning. I have cute hair! Yay!

And this afternoon, I will attempt to bake bread for the very first time (I swear, I think it's 's influence). And, ironically, I will do this while watching the History Channel deconstruct the image of the 1950s housewife and family. Dude, Betty Friedan interview. It's research!
