At the starting gate...

NaNoWriMo starts in a little over two hours. I'm planning on staying up and making at least a token start to the novel. I'm seriously going by the seat of my pants on this one. I'm hoping after writing a few thousand words I might be able to come up with an outline. We'll see. I don't want a repeat of The Host where I felt lost in my own novel.

I'm sure I'll post after I've done some writing tonight.

I guess I will say, though. I just went to the NaNoWriMo site to report my 89 words (so far) and thought I'd browse the listings of authors and books. Lots of 'em out there, so I narrowed it to those with excerpts, and on the third of the 33 pages of results, there I saw it: Lisa A. Nichols of Ann Arbor, Michigan was registered and was writing Girls Who Wear Glasses.

I wear glasses. The greater coincidence, however, is that I'm also Lisa A. Nichols of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

From the looks of your website, we have a lot more in common than that. To tell you the truth, it's rather astonishing me here late at night after a long night of Halloween festivities.
