Don't faint...

Did over a thousand words on "An Eye for an Eye" tonight. I could almost finish the first draft tonight, but I felt too impatient to finish it. Trying to finish it now would give me one of my usual rushed, deflated endings. And to be honest, I'm not quite sure HOW to end it. A really dark ending, a la Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery" is suggesting itself, but I'm not sure that's the right one.

Oddly enough, I already know where this one's going to go first when it's ready: Strange Horizons. It's an odd feeling to feel like you're writing for a specific market, almost.
